Galapagos Sea Star Journey

Galapagos Sea Star Journey

Operated by: Latin Trails

The Galapagos Sea Star Journey is a luxurious modern ship, and one of the finest new ships to enter service in the Galápagos Islands in recent years. Originally built as the Grand Odyssey in 2011, in 2015 she underwent an extensive interior renovation and also saw the installation of new, state-of-the-art engines which produce less noise, aid smoother navigation, and offer a speed improvement of 2 knots whilst delivering better fuel efficiency. Accommodating a maximum of just 16 guests in eight spacious suites, expeditioners will be well looked after by a crew of 11, including a fully-accredited naturalist/guide. Her spacious sun deck, featuring two jacuzzis, a number of day beds and sun loungers and a BBQ, is one of the largest sun decks in the archipelago. Galapagos Sea Star Journey is equipped with a number of tools to aid exploration, including zodiacs, kayaks and snorkelling equipment.
