Wilderness Explorer

Ship Overview

Operated by: Un-Cruise Adventures

To complement the wild, natural surroundings of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, the interior of the 74-guest Wilderness Explorer has intentionally been designed with a Pacific Northwest feel including the nautical-themed main lounge. The ship was fully refurbished in 2012 and features an open-seating format of the dining room and ample space on deck to encourage guest-to-guest interaction. This expedition vessel has three accessible decks; enjoy over-the-top views from the bow, watch sparkling stars from the upper deck hot tub, and relax in the sun lounge.

There are three cabin categories aboard the Wilderness Explorer: Trailblazer, Pathfinder, and Explorer. Explorer accommodates single and double accommodations.

Common to all cabins are flat-screen TV/DVD, iPod docking station, air conditioning, private en suite with shower and large view windows.

Dining

Every meal is handcrafted by the executive chefs to ensure innovative, nutritious, and delectable dining experiences that highlight flavors of the region.

In Coastal Washington, you’ll likely sample Hama Hama oysters, shucked by the 5th generation family farmers who cultivated them. And in Alaska, savor buttery-rich Dungeness crab caught live by local fisherman.

Unless there’s a specially arranged barbecue or lunch on shore, most dinners are served over several courses—with particular attention to your personal preferences. The dining experience is casual, and seating is open so you are free to join new friends and choose a different table at every meal.

Wherever possible, ingredients are sourced locally for freshness and regional authenticity, as well as to support the local communities and protect and preserve the oceans. Committed to sustainability throughout all aspects of our business, Un-Cruise Adventures are proud to be the first cruise partner of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Program.
